Entrepreneurship has always been in my DNA. But like so many others, the pandemic forced me to make some tough decisions. In 2021, I found myself looking for a startup that would let me own my work, experiment with new ideas, and take risks—all the things I loved about running my own venture. That’s when I discovered Bizom.(Speak about his second innings)
Finding My Space at Bizom
On day one, I could tell Bizom was different. From its vibrant culture to the trust leaders place in each individual, the company promised (and delivered) a space where I could be an entrepreneur within my own role. Working closely with inspiring leaders like Lalit and Krishna accelerated my growth and shaped my approach to business. They empowered me to question, innovate, and try new strategies—something that kept my inner entrepreneur alive and kicking.
Early Wins and Team Building
In my first three months, I received a Spot Award for my work in business development. That early recognition was a big confidence boost. More than just a pat on the back, it was a sign that Bizom truly saw and appreciated fresh ideas. Soon, I was entrusted with building out our Inside Sales team from scratch. Hiring interns, training them, and watching them turn into sales dynamos was one of my proudest accomplishments. The energy of our young, enthusiastic crew kept me on my toes and reminded me why I fell in love with startups in the first place.
Venturing Out and Coming Back ‘Home’
After venturing into a new role at another startup, I decided to come back to Bizom. And what a transformation I saw! The Inside Sales team had evolved, setting new standards in qualification processes and overall operations—truly surpassing industry benchmarks. It was a rewarding moment to see how a fledgling team I once helped build was now more capable and efficient than ever.
Bizom’s Culture and the Drive That’s Worth It
Despite the distance (roughly a two-hour commute), I gladly make the long commute because Bizom empowers me to truly own my work. I still remember Krishna’s reminder that while we control our inputs, the outcomes will naturally follow once we get those inputs right. When you’re recognized for every bit of effort you put in, it’s easy to stay motivated and go the extra mile.
Meet the Team
Now that I lead the Inside Sales team, I get to work with people who are supercharged with energy. With the average age around 23 (except for me, of course!), there’s an infectious enthusiasm you can’t help but get swept up in. Our Friday sessions, in particular, are legendary—loud, and full of laughter. It’s in these moments that you truly understand Bizom’s culture: a perfect blend of hard work, camaraderie, and fun.
