Bangalore: The Big Leap
When I joined Bizom HQ, Bangalore wasn’t just a city to me—it was a canvas for growth. As I stepped into the role of Design Lead, the excitement was palpable, but so was the challenge. Back then, there was just one designer on the team, and together we were tasked with reimagining the design culture from scratch.
The Interview: A Vision for Design
The day I interviewed at Bizom, it felt less like a typical job interview and more like a brainstorming session. The leadership’s vision for how design could shape the future of Bizom resonated with me deeply. I left that room knowing this was a place where I could build something meaningful—starting with a design team.
The Blank Canvas: Designing the Design Culture
When you’re the head of a one-person team, the opportunities and responsibilities are endless. At first, it felt like juggling a thousand things—design strategy, user research, hands-on execution, and collaborating with other teams. But here’s the thing about Bizom: it’s a place that thrives on growth. The FMCG and SaaS world at Bizom is a dynamic playground, and design is the thread that ties everything together.

From crafting intuitive interfaces to introducing user-first design thinking across departments, every small win felt like a building block in a larger structure.

The Learning Curve: Collaboration is Key
At Bizom, knowledge isn’t siloed—it’s shared, debated, and celebrated. Working closely with cross-functional teams like product managers, engineers, and customer success, I quickly realised that collaboration was my superpower. The more I absorbed about the FMCG space and the user challenges, the better equipped I was to solve them through design.
Growing the Team: From One to Five
One of my proudest milestones was growing the design team. From just one designer to a team of five incredibly talented individuals, this journey has been about more than just hiring—it’s been about nurturing talent and fostering a culture where creativity meets strategy.

Together, we’ve built a design system, streamlined workflows, and raised the bar for user-centric design at Bizom. Every member of the team brings something unique to the table, and as a unit, we’ve become a force that’s shaping how Bizom products serve users.

Making an Impact: Designing for the Frontlines
The best part of being at Bizom? Seeing how our work makes life easier for on-field users. Whether it’s creating seamless mobile experiences or simplifying dashboards, every pixel we design has a purpose. Knowing that our efforts directly impact the efficiency and productivity of Bizom’s users is deeply fulfilling.
The Thrilling Ride Continues
From stepping in as the Design Lead of a team of one to leading a team of five, the journey has been nothing short of transformative. Bizom has been a place where challenges fuel growth, and every day is a new adventure.

As I look ahead, I’m excited about the future—new projects, new challenges, and endless possibilities to push the boundaries of design at Bizom.
